The full trailer for Disney’s live-action adaptation of Aladdin was released on Tuesday and it’s absolutely everything we could have asked for – action-packed, singing and of course humour, thanks to Will Smith playing the Genie.
The trailer starts with Aladdin running through the streets of Agrabah skillfully outwitting the royal guards who are in a hot pursuit then rolls over to his eyes being fixated on the beautiful Princess Jasmine.
The ever cunning Jafar who looks not so cunning as compared to the original cartoon also makes an appearance and funny snippets of Aladdin – Genie moments also make the cut. Abu the monkey, Rajah the tiger and the magic carpet on which Aladdin and the princess ride on in the latter stages while singing “A Whole New World” all make appearances.
Set to be released in cinemas May 24, the movie is directed by Guy Ritchie and stars Mena Massoud as Aladdin, Naomi Scott as Princess Jasmine,
