American R&B singer and television personality William Ray Norwood Jr., widely known as Ray J, was briefly detained by police following a dispute with his estranged wife, Princess Love.
According to TMZ, the 44-year-old singer had just returned from a tour when a discussion about their ongoing divorce took a heated turn. Feeling threatened by Ray J’s behavior—which she claimed was aggressive and possibly influenced by substances—Princess Love called the Los Angeles Police Department for assistance.
Upon arriving at the scene, officers placed Ray J in the back of their squad car while they investigated the situation. However, after interviewing both parties, authorities concluded that no criminal offense had taken place. Ray J was released without charges, though a domestic violence incident report was filed as a precautionary measure.

In December, their marriage faced additional strain when Princess reportedly discovered evidence of a romantic connection between Ray J and social media personality Sukihana. The revelation sparked a heated exchange, further fueling speculation about their relationship.
A now-deleted Instagram post from Sukihana on December 26 featured a text from Princess, in which she jokingly dismissed any interest in Ray J while taking a dig at his behavior. The message read:
“Hey Suki, it’s Princess … I don’t want Ray. Please tell him to stop trying to suck my p**y.”
The post, along with Princess’s confirmation that Ray J had been involved with both women, led to further scrutiny from fans. She also shared explicit messages she allegedly found on Ray J’s phone, intensifying the drama surrounding their already strained marriage.
Despite Princess filing for divorce for the fourth time in 2024, it remains unclear if this chapter of their relationship is truly coming to an end or if more twists lie ahead.
