American comedian and actor Tracy Morgan has provided an update on his health after falling sick during the New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat game.
On Monday, March 17, 2025, Morgan vomited during the third quarter, prompting medical attention. He was seen pressing a towel to his mouth as he was wheeled out of the arena.
The incident briefly halted play for about 10 minutes while Madison Square Garden (MSG) staff cleaned up the courtside area.
The following day, on Tuesday, March 18, the 56-year-old comedian took to Instagram to reassure fans about his condition.
Morgan revealed that his doctors diagnosed him with food poisoning as the cause of the sudden illness. He also expressed gratitude for the support he received.
“Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing OK now, and doctors say it was food poisoning,” Morgan wrote. “Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me, and I gotta shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!”
Adding his signature humor, he joked about the Knicks, saying, “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court, so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs,” followed by a laughing emoji and the hashtag #GoKnicks.
Following the incident, Madison Square Garden also extended well wishes to Morgan.
“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” an MSG representative said in a statement.
