Its November now and the sun isn’t showing us as much love as it used to. To many, fall is the ideal fashion weather. It’s not too hot and it’s the perfect weather for layers. I love sweaters for the fall and this season, vintage men’s sweaters are becoming the "Suave" man’s best friend. Worn alone or with Chino pants -in a previous article https://face2faceafrica.com/article/the-perfect-fitted-pants-for-men-, or even over a nice button up then topped with a bowtie, vintage sweaters add the perfect touch of color and fun to any cozy fall look. I’m sure many of you have those old christmas sweaters lying around somewhere-in the back of your closet that you never wore because you thought it was ugly or too christmas “looing”-now’s the time to get digging. Pull that sweater out and pair it with your favorite pants, a plain colored button up, bowtie, and loafers and see how many heads you’ll turn. Vintage sweaters can be pretty expensive but Thrift shops can have them for as little as ten dollars.
The most popular, and my personal favorite of these pullovers is the Nordic sweater, which have an interesting history. Initially, Nordic sweaters only came in black or white because these were the natural colors of sheep’s wool. Soon some Nordic people began combining the black and white, and started making v-shaped patterns called ‘lice’. This V-shape stitch helped make their Nordic sweaters warmer. Now these sweaters come in a variety of colors, and patterns. Some are even cardigans.
