Women of colour who got into trouble in 2018

Okoumou, a Congolese immigrant, was hailed as a hero after she climbed the pedestal of the Statue of Liberty in a July 4th to protest against the Trump administration’s policy that separated migrant children from their parents. She, however, is facing jail time of about 18 months i for this stunt.
