Dr. Denise Asafu-Adjei

Dr. Denise Asafu-Adjei is a Urology resident at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. She attended Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated in 2008 with research honors, a B.S. in Biological Sciences, and a minor in Health Care Policy and Management. After her 3rd year of medical school, Denise took a leave to obtain her Masters in Public Health from the Harvard School of Public Health, with a focus in Healthcare Management. Denise is an active member of the National Medical Association, the Ghana Physicians and Surgeons Foundation, and the Eta Omega Omega graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In the future, she aspires to improve the quality and access to urological care for people both in the U.S and in her family’s native country of Ghana. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, travelling, Broadway plays, film, international cuisine, and watching professional boxing.
