On August 9, 2014, the African community across New England will come together at the City Hall Plaza in Boston to celebrate African arts and culture at the 5th Annual African Festival of Boston.  The African Festival of Boston, a long-term endeavor, aims to unite, promote, educate and strengthen the African Diaspora in Massachusetts. It is proudly sponsored by the Shalupe Foundation with the objective to inspire the African Diaspora to build a stronger coalition – giving strength to our collective work and voices.

We invite you to join this cultural event as a 5th African Festival of Boston media sponsor.

Each year the festival features multiple musical performances, cultural dances, African foods, vendors, children’s games, arts, crafts, a health fair, a tourism fair, and a career fair. Becoming a sponsor for the African Festival of Boston is an opportunity for your organization to showcase the great work that it is doing in the community as well as acquaint with potential customers and community members whose objectives may align with your mission.

We would be honored if you would consider becoming a Presenting Community Sponsor for the African Festival of Boston’s 5th Anniversary.

Over the past four years, approximately 15,000 people have attended the African Festival of Boston in appreciation of African culture. Your sponsorship will further familiarize your brand to the African-Immigrant, African-American, Caribbean-American, other ethnic communities of the New England area who attend our event. The African Festival of Boston would be a great venue for your organization to raise awareness about its strong commitment to strengthening the communities of New England through the Neighborhood Revitalization and Stabilization grant program.

We hope that your organization will take advantage of this opportunity to contribute towards this much needed community efforts by selecting the best package.

We have increased publicity efforts for this event to include displays on MBTA buses, shelters, fliers, posters, display on stage, Booth Exhibit, and full page color Booklet.  We will have displays on Art Boston stands at Copley Square and Faneuil Hall and online advertisements. Your Sponsorship will send a powerful message to the African communities of New England and exemplify Staples’s mission to promoting economic empowerment, youth development and community involvement, all goals of the African Festival of Boston and many of its supporters.

The African Festival of Boston remains the largest African gathering in the New England area and a critical outreach outlet for community groups that want to reach African-immigrant and other ethnic audiences.
