August Alsina dropped a bombshell a couple of weeks ago when he confirmed he had a romantic relationship with Jada Pinkett Smith – with her husband’s “approval” – during an interview with Angela Yee after the radio host asked him about the swirling rumor.
In the aftermath of the revelation, which became a huge talking point on social media, Jada, 48, moved to address the Benediction singer’s claims on her Facebook show, Red Table Talk, with her husband, Will Smith.
During the sit-in with her husband, Jada, sort of, confirmed their relationship but revealed it happened when she and Will had temporarily split and were “going through a very difficult time.” That, however, wasn’t the highlight of the talk.
Though Jada confirmed the relationship, she appeared to play it down and chose to describe it with a word that has since become a social media jargon – Entanglement.
“Yes, it was a relationship, absolutely. I was in a lot of pain and I was very broken,” she said after Will asked her to further elaborate on that. “Now in the process of that relationship, I definitely realized that you can’t find happiness outside of yourself.”
Well, over the weekend, August, 27, released a new song inspired by the word that got everyone talking. Titled Entanglements, the song, which features Rick Ross, appears to throw subtle shades at Jada.
“The definition of entanglement / It’s when you’re tangled in the sheets / Girl I know that we don’t call it a relationship / But you’re still f–kin’ with me,” August sings, giving his own meaning to the word.
