African inspired outfits have, over the past couple of years, been gaining global recognition which has been long overdue. In recent times, we have seen scores of celebrities turning to African designers for their services and giving them some much-needed exposure, which is also commendable.
Be it African prints or Ankara, we occasionally see some of our favorite Black celebrities either donning full ensembles or having elements of the prints mixed with their outfits to produce stunning looks. Some of the stars with African heritage have also been proudly representing their roots by hitting the red carpets or making appearances in indigenous outfits from their respective home countries from time to time.
To celebrate the gradual global acceptance of African fashion, we highlight these celebrities who have been championing the cause. Take a look at these amazing outfits below and let us know your favorite.
