As part of the Social Media Campaign, TEDxAccra 2015 launched its hash tag as ‘#ACCRA2015’.

Speaking to the Communication Team of TEDxAccra who are feverishly preparing for next year’s event, the curator, Leslie Emmanuel Addae said, the hash tag ‘#Accra 2015’ would provide an access for Ghanaians to take a picture of themselves with a paper boldly written #ACCRA2015 and post it on their social Media page and tag it TEDxAccra2015.

TEDxAccra is for thinkers, doers and dreamers of Accra to meet and share ideas. An action-packed event that would run from 7am to 7pm, TEDxAccra is meant for people who want to hear new ideas — then create ripple effects of action.

Leslie Addae added that heritage was very powerful in Ghana as was culture and as  the nation embarked on the Ghana2020 plan it would require a global movement of progressive minded change agents.

He therefore urged Ghanaians to take note of hash tag and use it.

TEDxAccra 2015 is expected to be the biggest TEDx event in Ghana.

TEDxAccra 2015 dubbed the “The Next Chapter” which would take place at the National Theatre on 11th April, 2015;  is set to thrill audience.

With 2014 event focusing on Informing, Empowering and Educating, where speakers informed, empowered and educated audience on their ideas, the next chapter of Ghana’s success story must now be told.

With TEDxAccra2015, the  theme is, The Next Chapter is simple appropriate, as Ghana is barely 5 years from the year 2020, and all  attentions are drawn towards achieving what the President calls  “Vision 2020”.

At a TEDx event, TEDTalks videos and live speakers combine to spark deep discussions and connections.  Therefore speakers’ presentations will be interspersed with musical and other entertaining performances.
