Michael Blackson and his long-time girlfriend, Miss Rada, took their relationship to the next level after the Ghanaian-American comedian proposed to the Instagram model during a live appearance on The Breakfast Club on Thursday.
The 48-year-old had stopped by the popular radio show to talk about his new Modasucka podcast as well as his career and relationship when he took the knee to propose to his girlfriend – who appeared to have been caught off-guard.
The memorable moment occurred after the comedian invited his better half into the studio while he was discussing marriage with the hosts. And while the conversation, which was light-hearted until the proposal, was ongoing, Blackson surprisingly took out a ring from a bag and proposed.
“I love you, will you marry me?” the Coming 2 America actor asked his woman, to which she replied, “Yes!” The model, who is of Cambodian heritage, then jovially said, “Bye side b***hes, aye!”
And though Blackson finally popped the question, the comedian jokingly said he’s not yet ready to stop entertaining other women when host Angela Yee asked if he was closing that chapter of his life. “Is it bye side b***hes?” Yee asked, to which Blackson responded, “90% of the side b***hes bye-bye.”
Miss Rada and Blackson’s relationship hasn’t been all that rosy and the model had initially announced she was moving on a couple of months ago. Thankfully she did not. And when DJ Envy asked Blackson how he was going to work his infidelity issues, the comedian said he had reached a compromise with his fiancée.
“We’ve negotiated,” he said jokingly prior to the proposal. “I’m cutting down on the side b***hes from maybe three to one a month. We negotiated that I’m allowed to have one chick per month.”
On a more serious note, however, Blackson praised Miss Rada’s loyalty to him and explained she is one of a kind. “I’ve never had a woman that’s this loyal to me,” he said, adding that she was supportive when he contracted COVID-19 and was recovering.
