With the tombs dating back to the 18th dynasty — between 1543 and 1292 B.C. — of the Egyptiantombs in luxor New Kingdom, researchers contend that the tombs were created more than 3,000 years ago and belongs to Amenhotep, the guard of god Amun’s gate.

And while the tombs were raided of their wares, rich murals on the walls of the tombs remain, detailing everyday Egyptian life, such as hunting and sacrifice.

The murals are said to have been painted on plaster, and after thousands of years, they still have maintained their vivid hues and ornate storytelling.
