Jollywood Studios Hosts Benefit Gala For Healthcare Facility for Senior Citizens

Jollywood Studios will be hosting our first ever event focused on bringing awareness to our mission called ‘Seniors Day Africa’. Seniors Day Africa is a series of events and fundraisers aimed to help with building a geriatric healthcare facility for French speaking Africans.

Many times in lesser developed areas of Africa, the unfortunate instance is that elderly patients wait for hours to be told they cannot receive care. Resources are simply too limited and the level of importance is not as high for these senior citizens. Can you imagine what this does to their mental and emotional well-being? We started our campaign with the firm belief that no one should be overlooked healthcare as a result of their age. So we decided to ‘Build For Those Who Built Us’.

To celebrate the launch of Seniors Day Africa, Jollywood Studios will be hosting an evening of pure cultural elegance on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at the Dimenna Center for Classical Music at 450 West 37th Street from 6:30pm until 10pm. Guests can expect live music and performances, authentic West African dinner and special presentations.

About Jollywood: Jollywood Studios is a film production company based in New York with roots in Africa. We showcase our diaspora as part of the ‘Melting Pot’. Our latest series ‘Kine La Star’ recently got selected by Radio Television Senegal (RTS) to be televised in Senegal. We also release the first reality television series in Senegal in 2014 called US Africa Love.
