Kendrick Lamar paid homage to Tupac Shakur by donning attire reminiscent of the late rap legend at his “Pop Out” concert. Fans were thrilled as Lamar completed the tribute with an eye-catching, massive diamond accessory.
Jeweler Ben Baller revealed to TMZ Hip Hop that Lamar last week requested a king’s cross, which he provided. He added he was unaware that Lamar was channeling a Tupac Shakur theme but Baller—who had been friends with Shakur—found the collaboration particularly fitting.
Lamar staunchly defended Shakur’s legacy against Drake’s AI-assisted diss track by performing “Not Like Us” five times at his concert.
He was sporting a $600K diamond crucifix adorned with 73 carats of VVS clarity diamonds set in 18k white gold.
Lamar also dazzled when he performed next to Dr. Dre with his $750K worth of jewelry, including a $150K, 42-carat diamond Cuban link chain.
Jeweler Baller noted that it’s all “California Love” despite the brewing 2024 Rap War. He has however opted to remain neutral due to his friendship with Drake hence his absence from the Inglewood concert.
In reality, Lamar doesn’t require any assistance to stamp his sweeping influence.
