Newly released footage has shown how two University of Washington football (UW) players facing accusations of assault attacked and spat on a cyclist in March.
Sophomores Tylin “Tybo” Rogers and Diesel Gordon are being accused of assaulting fellow student Camden Malone in a stairwell on NE 50th Street in Seattle on March 11, according to Fox 13 Seattle.
In the footage, the UW footballers stand over Malone, who was sitting next to his bicycle. Rogers appears to slap Malone and also throw his bike aside.

“I thought my life was over, and I was in danger,” Malone told Fox 13 Seattle. “I tried my best to get away, and it was just gut-wrenching when I found out they did see where I went, and they were coming down to get me. They assaulted me. I was pushed. I was hit in the face. My bike was broken. My glasses were broken, shoved around. Luckily, the whole thing was caught on camera.”
The altercation reportedly began after Malone made a rude gesture toward the players when they yelled and cursed at him to get off the road. He was riding his bike home from work after learning his Shoreline Community College roommate had unfortunately died.
Malone claimed the UW footballers who attacked and spat on him attempted to hit him with their vehicle and later pursued him into a stairwell, which was where the alleged assault took place.
According to witnesses, Rogers and Gordon left the scene after realizing they were being watched, as reported by Fox 13 Seattle. Both men were arrested for the assault on April 5.
Gordon told Seattle Police they had been driving a rental car behind Malone, who was “bicycling slowly” for two blocks.
He revealed that he did not honk or yell but asked Malone at a red light if he could pass.
Gordon then alleged that Malone responded by insulting him and spitting on his car. He admitted to chasing Malone and spitting on him, yet denied making any physical contact.
Gordon pleaded guilty to misdemeanor assault, and received a three-day jail sentence, a small fine, and 24 hours of community service, according to KOMO News. Rogers however declined to be interviewed by police.
The UW footballers who attacked the cyclist have been suspended from the team, but the university has yet to confirm if they have been suspended from the school.
Rogers is also facing separate rape allegations involving two women who accuse him of choking and slapping them in incidents from October 2023.
He faces charges of second-and third-degree rape, property destruction, and fourth-degree assault, and his trial is expected to begin in December, KOMO News reported.
