Andre Allen, Dawn Robinson‘s ex-husband, is offering her a job after she revealed her unfortunate living situation.
He indicated that he lent money to dozens of popular music industry friends while observing others die in poverty, and he would not want Robinson to suffer the same fate.
Allen, who was married to the singer of En Vogue from 2003 until 2010, told TMZ that he is offering her a job in the hospitality sector at Hilton Brands, where he currently works.
Allen revealed that he had already extended the offer to Robinson, adding that it included “free medical from day one” and “PTO to juggle her career,” per TMZ. He believes she has the “charisma and personality” to succeed in sales.
He explained that he organized Dawn’s temporary reunion with En Vogue before things were completely shut down; however, he acknowledged that leaving the music industry saved his life and finances.
According to him, he’s discovered God, a new fiancée, and is now making more money than he ever did in the music industry, despite receiving two Grammy Awards, multiple Gold records, and royalties as a solo artist and member of the R&B group IVXample.
His comments follow Robinson’s March 11 YouTube video in which she told fans that she had been living in her car for three years.

In the video, the 58-year-old former R&B diva revealed that she lived with her parents in Las Vegas in 2020 before moving to Los Angeles at the request of a previous manager.
After explaining how she ended up living in her car and expressing her pride in her accomplishments, the En Vogue diva advised YouTube viewers to “do the scary” and be “spontaneous.”
Her followers expressed concern over her video, which has since received 180,000 views and more than 6,000 likes. They offered their support and encouragement to her.
One expressed, “Ya’ll need to be hittin this woman cashapp. We gotta make sure our legends are straight.”
Another fan added, “I have a house in Indianapolis you can stay in that I was fixing up for traveling nurses. It’s a two bedroom, one bath bungalow on the eastside. I know Indiana is not Vegas or LA but at least you can stretch out and relax.”
A commenter also wrote, “Hi Dawn. If you are ever rolling to the Midwest, you are welcome to come park and stay FREE on my 2 acre land off grid in NEW MEXICO. We are right in front of the Mountains. We have solar panels and also the Internet if you. It is BEAUTIFUL and relaxing. Bon fires and love.”
Robinson co-founded En Vogue with Cindy Herron, Terry Ellis, and Maxine Jones in 1989, before leaving the group in March 1997 to sign with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath label.
From 1991 to 1997, she received six Grammy nominations alongside En Vogue for her lead vocals on songs including “My Lovin’ (You’re Never Gonna Get It),” “Giving Him Something He Can Feel,” and “Free Your Mind.” She later returned to the group for appearances in 2005 and 2009.
