American music star SZA is still in disbelief after her album S.O.S. tied Michael Jackson’s Thriller for the longest-running Top 10 album by a Black artist on the Billboard 200.
Speaking to TMZ outside Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Tuesday, SZA struggled to put into words what it meant to share such a milestone with the King of Pop.
Although some fans argue that Jackson’s success came without the advantage of the streaming era, S.O.S., released less than two years ago, is already making strides and cemented its status as a modern classic.

SZA’s Billboard achievement is not her only recent success. The 35-year-old is also dominating the charts with “Luther,” her duet with Kendrick Lamar, which currently sits at No. 1 after their famous Super Bowl performance.
Asked about a potential music video, SZA remained tight-lipped, stating that her fans will have to wait, as she’s now focused on spending time with her mother.
However, since she and Kendrick will be touring soon, many believe the video might premiere during their concerts.
To SZA’s fans on social media, knowing that she ties Michael Jackson and his iconic Thriller on the Billboard charts is something to be proud of, as they continue to stand behind the 35-year-old making strides for herself in the music industry.
