Lupita Nyong’o Makes Africa Proud at the 2016 MET Gala- Check Out Her Hair!

by Sandra Appiah, 8:40am May 03, 2016,

The MET Gala, an annual fundraising gala benefiting the  Metropolitan Museum of Art is the biggest fashion event of the year and one of the most important dates on the calendars of celebrities. Each year, our favorite celebrities show up in extravagant gowns, and give the media and their fans a whole lot to talk about. The 2016 MET Gala which took place on Monday, May 1st in New York was no different.  But we’ve got our eyes on one particular celebrity, Lupita Nyong’o, who since breaking out as fashion’s “it” girl, has dazzled fans at almost every awards and red carpet appearance.

Last night, all eyes were on the Kenyan born star when she showed up in a dazzling metallic green gown, and perhaps what attracted the most attention, a gravity-defying hairdo inspired by the futuristic-fashion theme for this year’s gala.

Social media immediately started buzzing with people giving her the best hairdo of the night award. Offcourse we couldn’t disagree. Not only did the hair look gorgeous on Lupita, but was also very fitting for the occasion. We are always proud of our African princess. She makes Africa look good everywhere she goes.
