Another conversation about the essence of love and marriage has sparked again on social media after a video was shared of a couple taking their wedding vows.
Over the years, many would-be couples have self-written their wedding vows, mainly to personalize the moment and to get guests emotional.
The standard wedding vow for a Christian marriage has always been:
“I, …., take you,…., for my lawful wife/husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and health, until death do us part.”
But the following video shows something else.
Would you make these vows? If you did, would you stick to them? pic.twitter.com/h7BgGHfVOR

Yep I’ve been through enough to get me to make and keep this vow with the one who will love me just much

Those are the standard type vows you should be making as a Christian if you’re getting married, straight up Ephesians 5.
