Betty W. Harris

Betty W. Harris is an African-American inventor and organic analytical chemist specializing in explosives, environmental remedy, and hazardous waste treatment. She worked as a research chemist in a variety of areas such as explosives and nuclear weapons, as well as, hazardous waste treatment. She invented the TATB spot test, which identifies explosives in a field environment.
