Pop star Taylor Swift has filed a cease and desist against controversial rapper Kanye West after he took to social media to claim that she had sex with Justin Bieber and Harry Styles at the same time.

Per the Daily Mail, Swift, 35, filed the cease and desist against the 47-year-old after he shared several sexually explicit posts about her as well as Bieber, 31, and Styles, 31 on X. Kanye is said to have claimed that the Fearless singer had sex with Bieber and Styles at the same time.

“This time he has gone too far. His claims are not just false they are defamatory,” a source told the news outlet. “This isn’t just [West] gossiping. This is [West] sexually harassing a woman, defaming her and intending to cause harm to her and to her career.”

The source explained that Swift ultimately had to file the cease and desist against Kanye because she was “left with no other option.” Per Cornell Law School, a cease and desist is a “cautionary letter sent to an alleged wrongdoer describing the alleged misconduct and demanding that the alleged misconduct be stopped.”

Sources also told the news outlet that Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, is similarly not happy with Kanye’s actions. The sources implied that the NFL star wants to have a “man to man” encounter with Kanye.

Kelce is also said to have expressed his worries over how the public was going to react to Kanye’s posts as he felt it was going to “give more attention to the lies.”

“Taylor’s clearly upset, and Travis is obviously supporting her,” the source said. “There must be consequences. West would never dare say this to her face.”

Other sources also said that Styles does “not have any contact with Taylor and has not for many years,” but “if he is asked to confirm that this is a lie he will gladly do so.”

“He finds Ye’s words so disrespectful,” the source added. “To bring Harry into this was uncalled for. This never happened and Harry will lend his support however needed.” A source close to Bieber also labeled Kanye’s claims as “100 percent untrue.”

This isn’t the first time Kanye has gone after Swift. In 2009, the Graduation rapper made headlines after he interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the Grammys to claim that Beyoncé rather deserved the Best Female Video award the then-19-year-old pop star had received.

He subsequently referenced Swift in his 2016 song, Famous, rapping, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex. Why? I made that b**** famous”

And though Swift registered her displeasure over Kanye’s “strong misogynistic message,” the rapper claimed that the pop star had given her blessings for him to include the lyrics in question. Swift, however, said that was not the case.

But that wasn’t the end of that controversy. Kanye’s then-wife Kim Kardashian later posted phone call snippets between the rapper and Swift to imply that the latter had no issues with the 47-year-old using those lyrics.

In 2020, however, a 25-minute video that was circulated online revealed that Kanye did not inform Swift he was going to refer to her as a “b**ch,” the Daily Mail reported.

“Everyone believed that this whole saga was finally over,” a source said. “[Swift] kept her distance and has maintained her silence every time West has come for her or said something negative about her.”
