Idris Elba – Long Walk to Freedom
Long Walk to Freedom is a 2013 British-South African biographical film directed by Justin Chadwick starring Idris Elba and Naomie Harris. The movie is based on the 1995 autobiographical book of South Africa’s revolutionary leader and past president, Nelson Mandela.
It chronicles his early life, coming of age, education and 27 years in prison before working to rebuild the country once hit by segregation. The movie was released a week after Mandela died.
