Demetrius Shipp – All Eyez on Me

Demetrius Shipp Jr. played the role of rapper and actor Tupac Shakur in the 2017 biopic All Eyez on Me. Cast in the role in 2011, Shipp went for the audition given his strong resemblance to the legendary hip-hop artist.

The movie paints a detailed picture of the hip-hop star’s life, from his Harlem upbringing by Black Panther activist parents to his formative years in Oakland, California where he got his start performing with the group Digital Underground.

Shipp’s role was made rather interesting because his father worked with Tupac Shakur on the 1996 album, The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory on the song “Toss It UP”
