Gillum has held the seat of Mayor of Tallahassee, Florida since 2014. Before that in 2003, he became the city’s youngest commissioner earning the position at just 23-years-old.
In 2018, Gillum ran for Florida’s Democratic Party and won.
If Gillum wins the mid-term election on November 6, he will be the first African-American Governor of Florida.
