Shadreck Chikoti
Chikoti is a 39-year-old Malawian author and activist. He writes in Chichewa – a language spoken in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Malawi, and Zambia and also writes English.
Chikoti has written Free Africa Flee and The Son of Kamuzu (Mwana wa Kamuzu). He’s also authored The Baobab Tree, The Beggar Girl, The Trap, and Child of a Hyena – all short stories. His first novel was named Azotus the Kingdom.
Chikoti founded The Story Club – a conglomeration of writers and critics that discuss Malawian literature. He is also the director of Pan African Publishers.
