Sorious Samura
54-year-old Samura is a Sierra-Leonean journalist. His highly-acclaimed documentaries Cry Freetown and Exodus from Africa have been shown on CNN. Cry Freetown earned him the Peabody and Emmy Awards; respectively.
In 2010, Samura reported on the treatment of homosexuals in the informative film Africa’s Last Taboo.
Samura has also formulated three additional shows called Living with Hunger, Living with Refugees, and Living with Corruption.
He’s currently a director for UK-based Insight News TV; an independent television company which focuses on international current affairs.
