Maasai Mara National Reserve, Kenya

Kenya is undoubtedly the most popular safari destination in Africa. The country offers several wildlife parks, but the most popular one is the Maasai Mara National Reserve. This park is located in southwestern Kenya on the border with Tanzania and extends into Serengeti Park on the Tanzanian side.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is estimated to cover about 583 square miles and hosts an amazing variety of wild animals, including the Big Five. Here, you are guaranteed to find lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, buffaloes, wildebeests, crocodiles, hippos, giraffes, and many more.

July and October are the busiest months at the Maasai Mara Park, as tourists from around the globe arrive to witness the world’s most spectacular natural occurrence – the wildebeest migration.
