If you are a fan of HBO’s hit series Insecure, you’ll most probably love this one too. Awkward Black Girl is a series that chronicles the awkward happenings in the life of a modern-day African-American woman living in America. It is also the premise and inspiration for HBO’s Insecure, both written and produced by Issa Rae, who happens to also be the main character in both shows. Awkward Black Girl offers a comic but real look into the life of an urban black woman.
