Blade Series
The Blade series is by far one of the most popular movies in the late 90s into the new millennium. Directed by Stephen Norrington, this series saw Wesley Snipes act as a superhero who has the abilities and strengths of vampires. Blade protected the human race from being consumed by vampires.
Released in 1998, this movie became an instant sensation grossing $70 million at the U.S. box office, and $131.2 million worldwide. Despite mixed reviews from film critics, the film got a positive reception from audiences and has since garnered a cult following.
It is also hailed as one of Snipes’ signature roles. It is the first film in the Blade franchise, followed by two sequels, Blade and Blade: Trinity, both written by Goyer who also directed the latter.
