The kidnapping of women in Uganda
Ugandan women take to the streets of Kampala today to protest the kidnappings and killings of women in Uganda. The Women’s Protest Working Group claim that at least 30 women have been kidnapped and killed since 2017.
They are also protesting the inaction of police in dealing with these cases, accusing them of shaming families who have been victims of ransom demands.
