A commemorative Tata Duende Belizean postage stamp

Tata Duende

Tata Duende, which means “Grandfather demon” is described as a mischievous creature with backward feet known to protect animals and also lure kids into the jungle. Adults use him to scare kids to be on their best behaviour else he’ll come for them. As part of a commemorative Belizean folklore series, Tata Duende was featured on their postage stamp.
