John Salley
John Salley is the basketball superstar known to have shared the court with greats like Michael Jordan and Shaquille O’Neal.
After his days playing basketball ended, Salley ventured onto alternative paths, one including living a healthier lifestyle.
Not only is vegan, but he has also opened up vegan-centered restaurant in Sherman Oaks, California.
The name of his restaurant is Ocado which Salley described to Live Kindly as, “American fusion restaurant with Mediterranean and Latin inspired dishes.”
Salley is a staunch advocate for living a plant-based lifestyle; he’s worked with the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine (PCRM) to implore Congress to increase vegetarian choices in public schools.
