Fumbi Chima
The Chief Information Officer for FOX Networks Group delivers global leadership to technology and operations teams across 70 countries, changing the culture to one of innovation, accountability, transparency, interdependence and impact, according to Conversations with Top Innovators.
The Nigerian, who came of age in the U.K., had before joining FOX Networks Group, served as Chief Information Officer for Burberry Corporation and later moved to Walmart. At Walmart, Chima rose through the ranks easily, executing effectively and delivering efficiently on every opportunity and responsibility.
In early 2014, Chima was bestowed the most important responsibility yet in her career: moving to Hong Kong to become the Chief Information Office for Walmart’s Asian operations. She worked to increase the opportunities available to women and minorities within Walmart and in the larger corporate and technology worlds.
She further worked tirelessly to impart the knowledge necessary to create future women leaders like herself and has fought to be a mentor, role model, champion, and advocate for women in STEM programs around the world. Fumbi, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Philosophy from The University of Hull, UK, and is passionate about women empowerment is contributing to the building of the next generation of African leaders in order to tap the latent potential on the continent. She was recently honoured at the FACE List Awards by Face2Face Africa.
Fumbi serves on the Advisory Board for Diplomatic Couriers and is an Executive Sponsor and member of FOX Employee Resource Groups: (NOIR, Women In Technology (WIT) and Women@FOX).
