National Museum

The National Museum of Ouagadougou was established in 1962 and is considered one of the most significant historical sites in Burkina Faso.

It houses numerous collections of important relics that tell the history of Burkinabe. There are sacred artifacts, ethnic costumes, ancient statues, and masks which give a clear insight into the people and culture of Burkina Faso. The museum is located about 4 kilometers east of the city center.
