Rolex

It’s quite obvious the first thing that comes to mind when Rolex is mentioned is the famous Swiss luxury watchmaker. However, in Uganda, this is the name of one of the most popular “quick fix” street foods.

Rolex is a simple combination of egg omelette and vegetables wrapped in a chapatti. This meal can be found on any street in the East African country. There is even a festival named after it – Kampala Rolex festival – held annually to celebrate the fast-growing tradition of this food among others in Uganda.
