African countries are fighting each other over these vital natural resources

Kenyan and Somalia are currently at loggerheads over a portion of the Indian Ocean. The narrow triangle is believed to have huge deposits of oil and minerals, but it is not yet known to which country it belongs.

For Kenya, the boundary lies parallel to the line of latitude but to Somalia, the boundary extends to the southeast as an extension of the land border.

African countries are fighting each other over these vital natural resources

The case is currently at the International Court of Justice.
