Memphis rapper GloRilla got the internet talking in February when she took to X (formally Twitter) to shoot her shot at Milwaukee Bucks superstar Damian Lillard after she met him during the All-Star Weekend.
During the Bucks’ NBA Media Day on Monday, Lillard, 34, touched on the TGIF rapper seemingly crushing on him when a reporter asked if anything was going on between the pair, Rap-Up reported.
“I keep my personal life personal, you know? I let it be that. I respect her as an artist,” Lillard, who is also a rapper, said. “We know each other. She’s an artist; I’m an artist, but as far as anything else, it ain’t nothin’ goin’ on. That’s what I can tell you.”
GloRilla, whose real name is Gloria Hallelujah Woods, clearly made her intentions toward the Milwaukee Bucks star known when she shared a photo she took with him during the NBA All-Star game, Face2Face Africa reported at the time.

“Who n**** dis is? Cause I want him #GetEmGlo,” the 25-year-old rapper posted alongside the photo she took with Lillard. GloRilla also appeared to state that she wasn’t scared if the 34-year-old basketball star had a partner. “Whoever she is can’t whoop me so I really dgaf (don’t give a f***),” she added.
The rapper, however, deleted the posts after making the bold move. GloRilla shooting her shot at Lillard also came in the wake of the basketball star and his ex-wife Kay’La going through a divorce. It also appeared Kay’La later became aware of GloRilla’s social media post as she seemingly poked fun at the rapper following her DUI arrest in April.
Kay’La in an Instagram post shared a photo of GloRilla’s mugshot with the caption, “Free GloLillard,” and hashtag, “#sisterwife??♀️”, TMZ reported. In April, GloRilla once again touched on shooting her shot at Lillard during an interview with Shannon Sharpe on his Club Shay Shay podcast.
“Did [your shot] go in?” Sharpe asked GloRilla before she responded, “The half-court shot? At the end of the day, the day [is] gon’ end.”
