For many of us, oils and gels are what we use for our locks, but for the Afar tribe, to get lovely locks, the best ingredient to use is the butter. Their ‘asdago’ afro hairstyle is created using butter, which they say protects their locks from the sun and gives it a slightly ashy appearance.
