Cardi B is expecting her fourth child, and she recently shared her sentiments about breastfeeding and why it’s OK to prefer baby formula.

The 33-year-old Grammy-winning rapper took to X Spaces last Thursday to touch on the toils of breastfeeding and why women like her prefer formula.

“Breastfeeding also takes a lot of time and some women gotta go straight to work to feed their families and take care of their kids and s—,” Cardi said, per the Daily Mail. “They can’t spend time just sitting down. Pumping takes literally your whole f**king day.”

She added: “Pumping is not something easy to do. There’s women that gotta go to work. There’s women that, they just have to depend on the formula.”

Last week, organic infant formula and supplements company, Bobbie, announced Cardi as its new Chief Confidence Officer, saying that their collaboration is to champion “clean, organic infant formula and maternal advocacy.”

Cardi shares three children with her estranged husband, Offset, and she is expecting her fourth child with NFL star Stefon Diggs. In a previous interview with Vogue, Cardi touched on her breastfeeding experiences and the frustrations that come with it.

“Sometimes your baby wants to eat in two hours and sometimes your baby wants to eat in 45 minutes, and it takes me two hours just to produce two ounces of milk,” the Am I the Drama? rapper said. “It almost made me feel like ‘does it make me less of a woman if I can’t produce as much milk as the next woman?’ I don’t think people understand how frustrating it is.”

Cardi also said that mothers should ensure that they are feeding their babies with the right nutrients, be it breast milk or formula.

“You’re not a bad mom for giving your baby formula,” she said. “You know what’s bad? Not feeding your kid.”
