Burnt to death
A Kenyan woman died after she was burnt by her Lebanese employer in Lebanon. Mary Kibawana Kamajo, who had received severe beatings from her employer and his family, was one day out of the blues set ablaze by her employer. She ran to the bathroom, where she passed out and was left to die.
Her employer’s neighbours heard her screams, rescued her and took her to the hospital where she spent weeks. All these time, she was restricted from contacting her family in Kenya who had no idea what she was going through. She was only brought to Kenya after intervention by lawyers. She, unfortunately, passed away in hospital after months of enduring constant pain.
