Diddy’s Woes Deepen As His Key To NYC Gets Scrutinized Over Viral Assault Video

Sean Combs popularly known as Diddy, an acclaimed artist from New York City, may face the revocation of his city’s highest honor.

The award presented to him less than a year ago is now under scrutiny following the release of a disturbing video.

The footage, which surfaced recently, shows Diddy in a violent altercation with his then-girlfriend, Cassie, dating back to 2016. The video was brought to the attention of NYC Mayor Eric Adams, who expressed his deep disturbance at the incident during an interview with PIX11.

The key to New York City, presented to Diddy by Adams during a ceremony in Times Square last September, could potentially be revoked. This would mark the first time such an action has been taken. The mayor confirmed that he and his team are considering this unprecedented step.

Diddy’s assault on Cassie

The video in question, obtained by CNN, shows a brutal scene. Diddy can be seen assaulting Cassie in a hotel corridor. The footage corroborates Cassie’s account of the incident, which she detailed in a sexual assault lawsuit filed against Diddy last November.

The lawsuit, which included other serious allegations, was settled the day after it was filed. However, the terms of the agreement were not disclosed. Despite a series of other sexual assault allegations filed in the weeks that followed, Diddy denied all claims, dismissing them as attempts to tarnish his reputation.

However, following the public release of the assault footage, Diddy acknowledged and apologized for his actions. He expressed his disgust at his behavior and committed to becoming a better person daily.
