Lauryn Hill Tops All In Apple Music’s Best Albums List

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) recently announced an updated study that showed 400 shades of lipstick contain traces of lead. Brands such as Maybelline, Cover Girl and others made the list. There have been reports of lead findings in lipsticks during the 1990s. In 2007 the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics reported lead traces in lipstick, as well. These tests are conducted periodically to maintain a current record.

Legendary singer and rapper Lauryn Hill’s debut album, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill, has been named the best album of all time by Apple Music.

A few days ago, the streaming service unveiled its top 10, with Hill’s 1998 LP taking the top spot. Apple’s Ebro Darden personally delivered the news to Ms. Hill during an intimate dinner in New York.

The moment was captured on video and shared on Instagram, marking a significant milestone in Hill’s career.

In response to the honor, the Fugees star expressed her gratitude and dedicated the award to her mother. She emphasized the collective effort behind the album, stating: “This is as much mine as it is yours. This is our celebration.”

The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill outshone iconic albums such as Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’, The Beatles’ ‘Abbey Road’, Prince’s ‘Purple Rain’, and Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde’.

The list also featured other Hip Hop and R&B stars, including Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, and Jay-Z.
The album, inspired by Hill’s pregnancy and the turmoil within the Fugees, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and made Hill the first female rapper to achieve such a feat.

It also dominated the 1999 Grammys, winning the coveted Album of the Year award, another first for Hip Hop.

While fans eagerly await a follow-up, Hill hinted at new music last week. In a brief interaction with TMZ, she and her son YG Marley hinted, “Music’s on the way.”

As Lauryn Hill’s ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ takes its place at the pinnacle of Apple Music’s rankings, shows Lauryn Hill’s enduring influence and the timeless appeal of her music
