Eminem’s publishing company has reportedly filed a suit against Meta for using his songs on their platform without authorization.
The award-winning artiste and his company are demanding $109 million from Meta for all 243 songs used on the platform without permission.
According to the complaint filed at the U.S. District Court in Michigan, the works from the rapper’s publishing company, Eight Mile Style, were used unlawfully across Meta’s platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp.

Selected songs belonging to the rappers were said to have been reproduced and synchronized with visual content on Meta’s platforms, which have attracted millions of views.
The songs said to have been used without authorization include Til I Collapse, Lose Yourself, The Real Slim Shady, Mockingbird, The Way I Am, Houdini.

The publishing company is reportedly seeking $150,000 for each infraction, which all add up to the $109 million figure.
Reports indicate that Eight Mile Style filed requests to have these songs taken down from the three platforms. However, some instrumental and karaoke versions of the identified tracks are still active on the platform.

Last year, Mockingbird, Eminem’s old-time single, reached one billion streams on YouTube. The video was directed by John Quigley and uploaded to YouTube on December 24, 2009. The introspective song also crossed one billion streams on Spotify in 2024.
The single, among other things, was a reflection on his trials and tribulations as a father and other relationship issues with the mother of his daughter.

In May 2024, wedding pictures of his daughter, Hailie Jade, appeared online, with many fans congratulating the bride and his father, who graced the occasion in style.
