Everything You Need to Know About F2FA Weekend, July 25-27

Screen Shot 2014-06-19 at 12.03.27 AMF2FA Pan-African Weekend is right around the corner. You might be wondering: What events are taking place? Where and when? Where do I get tickets? Should I get individual or package rates? What’s the difference?

Well, relax and take a deep breath. We’ve got all the answers for you. Below is a breakdown of all the events taking place during the weekend, and how you can register for them.

 

Day ONE- July 25th
Event #1: YACE Master Class
Sold Out!

The first event of F2FA Weekend is the YACE Master Class, where six of Africa’s most brilliant and promising young professionals under the age of 30 will share their incredible journey with us. This is an opportunity for us to meet the future leaders of the pan-African community and get a first-hand look into how they plan to contribute towards a better Africa.

Venue: Mission of the African Union to the UN
Address: 305 East 47th Street, 5th Fl, New Yok, NY
Time: 6pm-7:30pm ( presentations start at 6pm sharp!)

Event #2: IAAPA Networking Mixer
An edition of our staple IAAPA Networking Mixer will follow the YACE Master class on Friday. This provides an opportunity to intimately network and mingle with the YACE, as well as other professionals from various industries.

Venue: Carlton Hotel

Time: 8pm-1am

Tickets: You get access to the mixer with the purchase of any F2FA Weekend package. If you are only interested in attending the mixer, get the IAAPA:Networking Mixer Package on the eventbrite page.

 

Day Two: July 26
The FACE List Awards

Day 2 Kicks off with the FACE List Awards, honoring African pioneers in business, Fashion, health, entertainment, and more. Financier Dr. Mo Ibrahim, fashion icon Alek Wek, orthopedic surgeon Dr. Oheneba Boachie-Adjei, Afrobeat musicianFemi Kuti, entrepreneur Bethlehem Alemu and general manager of the NBA’s Toronto Raptors Masai Ujiri will be honored for their outstanding contributions and impact on the African continent

Date: Saturday, July 26, 2014
Venue: Skirball Center
Address: 566 LaGuardia Place, New York, Ny
Time:7:30pm

Tickets:  If you are interested in the FACE List Awards and any of the events on Friday, select any of the Package rates on eventbrite. There are three levels: Premier, Standard, and Economy. The difference between the levels is seating. Premier are the best seats in the house. If you are only interested in attending the FACE List awards and none of the other weekend related events, you must use the venue hosting site (http://nyuskirball.org/calendar/f2fa2014) to get your tickets.


After Party
There will be an after-party following the awards which is free for all attendees.

Meet Honorees (July 26)

Day Three: July 27th
Sunday Jazz Brunch

An intimate closing Jazz Brunch will be held on Sunday for honorees,  special guests and anyone who registered for any of the related weekend activities. This is a Cash Menu- you pay for your order.
