Face2face Africa has teamed up with The Network Journal, a premier magazine for Black professionals and Small Business News, to present this year’s Africa edition of the "40 under Forty Achievement Awards."
Launched in November 2010, the Africa edition of the “40 Under Forty Achievement Awards” recognizes and honors Africa’s next generation of business and professional leaders – men and women under the age of forty who are excelling in their chosen industry sectors, and who are committed to the social and economic development of the continent. The intent of this program is to showcase positive images of Africa while recognizing and rewarding the entrepreneurial spirit and dynamism of Africa’s business and professional communities.
Like his/her U.S. counterpart, a “TNJ Africa 40 Under Forty” honoree typically is a business owner, or a management executive with significant decision-making authority in the corporate, nonprofit (including academia and medicine), or government sector. A committee of judges reviews each year’s candidates through their application form and supporting material. The judges make their final selection based on the nominees’ career/entrepreneurial accomplishments, level of professional expertise and community and/or charitable involvement. Each honoree receives a specially designed crystal award at the “40 Under Forty Achievement Awards” fun-filled gala celebrating the new recipients.

The celebration will be held on October 6th 2012, at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. All of the year’s awardees will also be featured in a special issue of The Network Journal magazine, which is distributed in the United States and throughout Africa.
