American rapper Fatman Scoop, born Isaac Freeman III, has died at age 53 after collapsing on stage during a performance.
According to a DailyMail report, the incident occurred on August 30th at Hamden Town Center Park in Connecticut, where the rapper experienced a medical emergency and was rushed to the hospital.
Many fans were left horrified as Scoop, struggling visibly after climbing onto a platform, collapsed in the midst of what has become his final performance with medics at the event responding quickly to his fall, attempting to revive him on the scene.

Scoop’s family left their thoughts on his unexpected passing, stating that his memory and impact will live with them for a very long time.
“He was not just a world-class performer, but he was a father, brother, uncle, and friend,” they said. “Last night, the world lost a radiant soul, a beacon of light on the stage and in life.
“He was the laughter in our lives, a constant source of support, unwavering strength, and courage.”
Scoop was born in New York City in 1971, and rose to prominence in the early 2000s through collaborations with artists like Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey.
Known for his deep vocal style and commanding stage presence, he announced his style in the hip-hop scene by winning three Grammy Awards during his career. In the last few years, he also ventured into podcasting and reality television, appearing on Celebrity Big Brother: UK vs USA in 2015.
The exact cause of Scoop’s death has not yet been confirmed, but the medical emergency he suffered during his performance is believed to have led to his collapse.

In the video, the rapper is seen walking toward the back of the stage, approaching the DJ booth and shouting, “I said Hamden, make some noise!” After climbing the stairs to the booth, he appeared to struggle with his breathing, panting into the microphone.
“If you came to party,” he said, pausing for a long moment before bending forward. “Make some noise,” he added, with his words slurring.
A few moments later, he then collapsed, dropping the microphone as screams of horror and gasps of fear spread through the audience.

Fellow artists attempted to calm the crowd. “We’re having a good time,” one performer said, while another encouraged the audience to “make some noise,” though the response was far more subdued.
