Bale Mountain National Park, Ethiopia

Located high up in Bale Mountains is the famous Bale Mountain National Park, where all kinds of interesting and rare creatures are found. It’s one of the few remaining habitats for the rare Simien Fox.

The park is also home to a wide range of rare birds like the endemic Rouget’s Rail, Spot-Breasted Lapwing, Abyssinian Longclaw, Wattled Crane, and Eastern Imperial Eagle. In addition to watching special types of birds, visitors get an opportunity to catch a glimpse of the spectacular views of Ethiopian highlands from a bird’s view angle.

Whether you visit the Ocean Coast in Cape Town South Africa or Bale Mountain National Park in Ethiopia, a bird watching holiday in Africa is definitely the best treat.
