Zanetor Agyeman-Rawlings

The first daughter of ex-Ghana president, Jerry John Rawlings, Zanetor has struggled and succeeded in distinguishing her politics from the towering figure of her father.

She was elected into Ghana’s parliament in 2016. She has since been a strong advocate for women’s rights, especially on reproductive health and economic access.

To understand the significance of her politics better, one has to keep in mind that Ghana is largely a socially conservative country.
