Mia Mottley

In the elections of May 2018, a never-before-seen record was made in Barbados where all 30 seats in the country’s legislature were won by one party, the Barbados Labour Party. The party was led by Mia Mottley.

Mottley turned out to be the first woman prime minister of her country too. Since then, she has mostly committed to working on the stabilization of the Barbadian economy.

This year too, Mottley has presided over massive efforts in Barbados to connect with African countries.
