These flags in Africa are causing 21st century controversies

When African countries gained independence from their colonial masters, they faced numerous challenges including infrastructure, leadership issues and the lack of national identity due to the demarcation of borders during the Scramble for Africa.

In many countries, some flags have been waved in protest of political leadership while others represent colonial sentiments. These flags have largely been classified as treasonous and many people have been killed while others jailed for flying them high in the face of adversaries.

Here are some of the flags causing controversies in Africa. It is worthy to note that the last flag remains a representation of hate as millions have been killed over what it professes.
